Voyager 2's Journey Beyond the Solar System
On 20 August 1977, Voyager 2 was launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, embarking on an ambitious journey to explore the outer planets of our solar system. This spacecraft provided invaluable data about Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, enhancing our understanding of these distant worlds. Remarkably, Voyager 2 continues to send data back to Earth, even as it travels through interstellar space, decades after its launch.
Fun fact. Voyager 2 remains the only spacecraft to have visited Uranus and Neptune up close.
